Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District

The location is wonderful. We checked u. The day after Christmas so it was busy. Marie, from The front desk was not very friendly and a bit dismissive. The area to park for registration was packed and created a mess with people trying to come in and trying to leave. There is also a lot of people with dogs here. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. But, we heard the traffic at night and people slamming their doors. Also around 1 am until 5 am there were loud thumping, as if someone was dropping a dumbbell or construction. Upon checkout , I told the fro t desk of the annoying sound that woke me up. The woman didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and the inability of not getting a sound sleep. I also mentioned that the ice machine wasn’t working on the second floor. All she said was , yes, we know “. So, customer service is not the typical friendly and caring Hilton that I’ve experienced throughout my travels. Breakfast is just okay and valet was $48 and took time to get our car. Maybe the overall experience is the culture of this hotel. In my experience, they fell short on some things. Perhaps if it weren’t the holiday my experience would be different but that should not matter.

Was there on business from 11/16-11/20 2025! This hotel is centrally located to everything happening especially by the river since all you have to do is walk across the street to get there! The hotel was very clean and the young clerk whose name starts with a J who was always smiling and helpful, got me checked in to room 408 but this room had very little hot water so they moved me to 217!! When I moved rooms I found dirty wash cloths still hanging in the shower and a few belongings from the previous guest! The breakfast was not bad but I don’t think they use real eggs. Other than what I experienced, all in all it was a good stay and great location!

Great stay friendly and courteous employees from those in checkin positions, supervisory (Ms. Beverly and her team) to Ms. Connie and team caring for the guests while dining each morning. Your attentions were noticed and appreciated.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay - we were vacationing for a girls trip and loved the central location and attentive staff. Marie was at the front desk for the weekend and she gave us incredible recommendations and always greeted us with a smile -- she was a true gem!!

The hotel’s location is outstanding—right in the heart of the historic district and just steps from the riverfront, making it easy to explore Savannah’s key attractions. The breakfast options were generous and well‑maintained, and the overall facilities were clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The paid valet parking service was efficient and convenient throughout the stay. A well‑run property in a fantastic location.

I really wanted to give 5 stars but the pillows were absolutely horrible. Some were feather which I’m sensitive to. I really can’t stand the animal abuse leading to collecting feathers to make pillows out of. The other pillows they offered were lumpy or flat. The bed was ok. It wasn’t a high quality mattress The room was clean and newly renovated , the bathroom was spotless The lobby was very attractive and just outside was a beautiful park for my dog The valet was efficient , this place is safe and convenient to works class dining at the olde pink house restaurant

Loved our stay at this Hampton Inn. First of all, every single staff member we encountered—from the valet to the desk staff to the breakfast attendants—were so lovely and friendly. We felt very comfortable. Check-in was easy, the room was immaculate and quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to all the shops, restaurants, and museums.

Stayed here three nights while visiting Savannah. Hotel is located in the Historic District and is walking distance to a lot of attractions. The Old Town Trolley makes a stop at the hotel which is a plus. The front desk staff checked us in and was professional and attenuative. All the staff we encountered were great. Kudos to the concierge, Cate. Cate was fantastic - knowledgeable, prompt, and willing to help. We had a room on the 7th floor with a river view. Kisha ensure our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Loved sitting near the window watching the boats and barges come and go.
